Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan literasi Al-Qur’an dalam membentuk karakter siswa di SMAS Plus Nurul Ulum Peureulak, serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung, faktor penghambat, dan dampak penerapannya bagi peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, guru pembina literasi Al-Qur’an, dan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi Al-Qur’an diterapkan melalui program pembiasaan membaca, memahami, dan menghayati Al-Qur’an, siswa dibimbing menjadi pribadi yang religius, jujur, dan berakhlak mulia. Faktor pendukung pelaksanaan program ini meliputi dukungan guru pembimbing, fasilitas sekolah (Mushalla dan ruang tahfizh), program yang terstruktur, budaya pesantren yang religius, lingkungan belajar tanpa distraksi teknologi, serta motivasi dari orang tua dan lingkungan. Adapun faktor penghambat meliputi keterbatasan waktu, kurangnya minat sebagian siswa, metode yang monoton dan konsistensi siswa. Penerapan literasi Al-Qur’an terbukti memberikan dampak positif berupa meningkatnya kedisiplinan, akhlak, tanggung jawab, dan kesadaran spiritual siswa, serta terciptanya budaya sekolah yang lebih religius. Dengan demikian, literasi Al-Qur’an menjadi strategi efektif dalam pembentukan karakter siswa di sekolah berbasis Islam.
