This study investigates the adaptation of the Research Skill Development (RSD) framework to enhance learning outcomes in Islamic higher education. Drawing on established frameworks and principles of Islamic pedagogy, the adapted RSD framework aims to cultivate critical thinking, research proficiency, and ethical inquiry among students. Through curriculum integration, faculty development initiatives, and student support services, the adapted framework addresses the unique needs and values inherent in Islamic studies. Case studies from Universitas Islam Indonesia, International Islamic University Malaysia, and Al-Azhar University illustrate successful implementation strategies and their impact on student learning. The findings highlight the importance of alignment with Islamic principles, faculty empowerment, and comprehensive student support in promoting research skill development. By applying these insights, Islamic higher education institutions can prepare graduates to contribute effectively to Islamic scholarship and society while upholding Islamic values.
