Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of campus public facility quality on student satisfaction at Universitas Negeri Medan. The research employed a quantitative approach involving 112 respondents, and the instrument was confirmed valid (highest correlation value 0.974) and reliable (Cronbach’s Alpha 0.967). The regression analysis indicates that the quality of public facilities has a positive and significant effect on student satisfaction, as reflected by a t-value of 19.970 with a significance level of 0.000 and an R Square of 0.784. These findings show that 78.4% of the variation in student satisfaction is explained by facility quality, particularly classroom conditions, internet connectivity, library services, laboratories, sanitation facilities, and other supporting infrastructure. The discussion suggests that improvements in physical facilities and the learning environment directly enhance students’ perceptions of educational service quality. These results align with the SERVQUAL framework and previous empirical studies highlighting the tangible dimension as a key determinant of satisfaction, emphasizing the need for continuous maintenance and development of campus facilities to create a more conducive academic environment.
