Abstract
Generation Z as digital natives exhibit unique characteristics in consumption patterns and financial literacy that differ from previous generations. This study explores how STIEPARI Semarang students as Generation Z representatives manage finances and make consumption decisions in the digital era. To analyze consumption patterns and financial literacy levels among Generation Z students at STIEPARI Semarang and identify factors influencing their financial behavior. Qualitative research with phenomenological approach using semi-structured in-depth interviews with 20 STIEPARI Semarang students selected through purposive sampling. Findings indicate that Generation Z students demonstrate high digital financial literacy but still experience difficulties in distinguishing between needs and wants. Consumption patterns are dominated by digital spending and strongly influenced by social media. Financial literacy programs adapted to digital native characteristics are needed to improve financial management capabilities among Generation Z students.
