Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of emotional intelligence, organizational commitment, and work motivation on the performance of civil servants (ASN) with Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) as an intervening variable. The method used is path analysis, with a questionnaire distributed to 97 ASN respondents at the Education Office of Jember Regency. Emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, both directly and indirectly through Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) as an intervening variable. Organizational commitment has been shown to have a positive effect on employee performance and also has a significant impact on Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB). However, the indirect effect of organizational commitment on employee performance through OCB does not show significance. Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. However, since the effect of work motivation on Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) is not significant, there is no indirect effect of work motivation on employee performance through OCB. The organization needs to provide more equitable incentives, career development opportunities, and a performance-based reward system, as well as strengthen employee involvement in organizational decision-making.
