Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the physical work environment and work motivation on employee job satisfaction in the production division of PT. XYZ. The background of this study is based on the high turnover rate and unexplained absenteeism, which indicate problems in employee job satisfaction. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method via a questionnaire administered to 57 employees selected using simple random sampling. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with classical assumption tests and hypothesis testing both partially (t-test) and simultaneously (F-test). The results of the study indicate that the physical work environment has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (p < 0.05), as does work motivation, which also has a positive and significant effect (p < 0.05). Simultaneously, these two independent variables contribute 86.2% to the job satisfaction variable. These findings emphasize the importance of managing a suitable work environment and enhancing motivation to improve employee job satisfaction. This study provides practical implications for company management in creating a supportive work environment and effective motivation programs to reduce turnover and increase productivity.
