Abstract

The tourism sector is the leading sector of Tana Toraja Regency which is expected to be able to improve the regional economy. The many panoramic views of historical heritage and culture that are still strong have the potential to attract tourists to visit Tana Toraja. However, there are still many shortcomings in the tourism sector, one of which is digital tourism promotion. This type of research is qualitative research, where the author describes conditions in tourist attractions and research objects such as the tourism development sector and the tourism marketing and promotion sector of Tana Toraja Regency, while when describing the results of the research using the IFAS-EFAS method and SWOT analysis in terms of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the Tana Toraja tourism sector. In the research results, the position of the development of the tourism sector in Tana Toraja Regency in the Grand Strategy Matrix is in quadrant 1, where in this condition the strengths and opportunities in the tourism sector can be optimized as well as possible to increase the number of tourist visits and also increase Regional Original Income (PAD). As for the results of the research and discussion, it is concluded that the tourism sector can implement strategies by adding unique tourist attractions, providing and improving facilities and infrastructure which are supporting factors for the tourism sector, then processing tourism training so that they have skills in processing and optimizing promotions via social media.
